About Samura:

SAMURA — a team of professionals who create uniquely designed, high-end knives. We started our journey in 2003. We made our first product lines with the Japanese companies MAC and Mcusta. Japanese philosophy and traditions run deep in our DNA. We are absolutely sure that a Japanese knife cuts better than a European one. Japanese knives remain sharper longer and retain their edges longer.

Samura has been making its knives at production sites in four countries since 2010. We are currently producing 18 knife lines and a huge number of kitchen accessories. We use the best modern materials for the handle: Micarta, G10, stabilised wood, plastic with a soft-touch coating, Kraton, and composites.

DAMASCUS knives

Multi-layeres steel knives made of modern industrial Damascus steel with 67 layers are a perfect combination of the ancient art of metal processing and "high-tech" in the metal manufacture.

This smaller brother of an ordinary 6.7’’ size knife has an equally impressive performance and characteristics. In some cases it will be even a greater choice for women or students who might prefer smaller knives. In either case, most people need different tools in their kitchen collection because you never know in what cases it will help you out the most!

You will feel lightness in hand while holding the knife and total control of every move you make. Furthermore, this slightly smaller blade size provides a very high level of maneuverability. Excellent weight balance towards the front is another feature of Samura products, which were forged precisely by experienced Japanese craftsmen.

The knife’s handle is resistant to the hot temperatures of dishwashing machines owing to a G10 high-pressure fiberglass laminate material, which is also very durable.

This small Damascus santoku knife in authentic Asian packaging is a truly memorable and unique gift idea that would demonstrate that you think highly of someone and care about his/her needs and interests. You can give this gift for a birthday, Mother’s or Father’s Day, Christmas, Thanksgiving, New Year and many other occasions or even no occasion at all.

No matter what expectations you have formed just now, you can be sure of one thing—the performance of this Japanese tool will exceed all of them from many perspectives!

Description

The traditional Japanese Chef Santoku is perfect for slicing, chopping and grinding food. An incredibly sharp, well-balanced knife will become an indispensable assistant in home and professional kitchens. The central layer is VG-10 high-carbon steel, which provides the knife with impeccable cutting properties: long-lasting sharpness and an excellent, aggressive cut. SUS 430 and SUS 431 Damascus linings provide great elasticity and prevent the central layer from breaking. The knife handle, made of moisture- and heat-resistant G-10 material, fits comfortably in the hand, does not slip and is resistant to aggressive environments.
