About Samura:
SAMURA — a team of professionals who create uniquely designed, high-end knives. We started our journey in 2003. We made our first product lines with the Japanese companies MAC and Mcusta. Japanese philosophy and traditions run deep in our DNA. We are absolutely sure that a Japanese knife cuts better than a European one. Japanese knives remain sharper longer and retain their edges longer.
Samura has been making its knives at production sites in four countries since 2010.We are currently producing 18 knife lines and a huge number of kitchen accessories. We use the best modern materials for the handle: Micarta, G10, stabilised wood, plastic with a soft-touch coating, Kraton, and composites.
KAIJU knives
Samura Kaiju is a modern series of soled kitchen knives made af nielloed hammered steel eith a wavy shaped and polished edge. The knives sport a classical silhouette, wooden handle and unexceptible sharpness. Ideal for home use, and with their stunning appearance they will adorn the interior of any kitchen.
The big santokuis a traditional Japanese knife with a classic blade geometry: a wide and massive sheet-shaped blade with a point descending to the cutting edge.
This is a perfect substitute for the more familiar European Chef.
With a center of gravity shifted forward, santoku performs all the same actions and provides great ergonomics: it can be managed back and forth, up and down, with the point remaining in contact with the board all the time.
This allows you not to hold a fairly heavy knife in suspension, and your hand won't get tired for a long time. Solid, brutal, spectacular - the big Samura Kaiju santoku impresses men and turns women's heads!
Description
The traditional Japanese Santoku knife is perfect for slicing, chopping and chopping food. An incredibly sharp, well-balanced knife will become an indispensable assistant in the home kitchen. The Japanese stainless steel AUS-8, from which the knife is made, has good corrosion resistance, excellent stability of the cutting edge, is easily polished and ground. The unusual finish of the blade creates an air cushion during cutting, which prevents food slices from sticking when cutting. The handle of the knife, made of wood, lies comfortably in the hand, does not slip and is resistant to aggressive environments.
