Levenhuk Skyline Travel 80 Telescope is a small high-aperture refractor with coated optics. It is great for near space and terrestrial observations. It is a great choice for a beginner astronomer and will be excellent for the first amateur observations. Even a kid can handle Levenhuk Skyline Travel 80 due to its simple operation.
Levenhuk Skyline Travel 80 Telescope is perfect for observing the Moon and large planets of the Solar system. It is less suitable for far space observations, though it transmits glaring galaxies, nebulae and star clusters bright enough. We recommend performing all observations far away from city lights. The telescope is convenient to take along on any trip due to its light weight and compact design. The bag for storage and transportation that comes in the kit is large enough for not only an optical tube, a mount and a tripod, but also for all optical accessories.
The kit contains eyepieces, a Barlow lens and a diagonal mirror. You receive 132x magnification “right out of the box”. It allows for a detailed observation of the lunar craters, Saturn, Mars and atmospheric phenomena on Jupiter. The telescope will be a great replacement for a spotting scope as it transmits a “terrestrial” (undistorted) image.
Notice that an altazimuth mount for the telescope is easy to operate. A tripod is made of aluminum and its legs are adjustable to the height. There is an accessory tray. The optical tube has a small compass designed for quick land navigation and searching celestial objects on the skyline.
